Sibelius Symphony No. 3
This program features music from Finland, including Magnus Lindberg’s Violin Concerto and the ravishing Third Symphony by the Finnish folk hero and one of late Romanticism's quintessential voices, Jean Sibelius. Performing Lindberg’s Violin Concerto and making her SPCO debut is Dutch violinist Simone Lamsma, who has rapidly established herself as a much-sought-after soloist and recitalist performing with leading orchestras and conductors worldwide.
