Description of the concert being rehearsed:
Celebrate the holidays with one of classical music’s most beloved traditions as the SPCO performs Handel’s Messiah. English conductor Paul McCreesh returns to conduct the SPCO after leading “illuminating performances” (Star Tribune) of Bach’s Saint Matthew Passion during the 2015.16 season. Now turning to another masterpiece of the Baroque repertoire, McCreesh brings his “arresting vision” (Pioneer Press) to Handel’s Messiah. This is sure to be a wonderful musical experience for the whole family and a highlight of the Twin Cities holiday season.
Please note: Specific works and artists involved in the rehearsal are to be determined. This is a working rehearsal and a full run-through performance of the Messiah is not guaranteed.
