Description of the concert being rehearsed:

Winner of the prestigious Grawemeyer Award in 2005 for his Violin Concerto No. 2, written for the SPCO and Concertmaster Steven Copes, George Tsontakis returns for the Midwest premiere of his newest work for string orchestra, O MIKROS, O MEGAS (This Tiny World, This Enormous World). The virtuosity of four SPCO musicians is put on display in Haydn’s Sinfonia concertante for Oboe, Bassoon, Violin and Cello. A rare conductorless performance of Schubert’s popular Fifth Symphony rounds out the program.

Please note: Specific works and artists involved in the rehearsal are to be determined.
