Contrabassoonist/Bassoonist Cheryl Kelley has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, VocalEssence, New Orleans Philharmonic, Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Omaha Symphony, and Lincoln Symphony, including several recording projects. She is Professor of Music at University of Northwestern – St. Paul. Kelley teaches bassoon, chamber music and theory among her courses and coordinates the music education area.
Kelley holds a PhD in music education from University of Minnesota and the MM and BME degrees from University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She studied bassoon with Gary Echols and John Miller and contrabassoon with Norbert Nielubowski.
