Chicago native Jennifer Strom performs frequently as a substitute with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Minnesota Orchestra. Jennifer earned performance degrees from the University of Southern California, where she studied with Alan deVeritch, and Northwestern University, with Peter Slowik. As a Chicago Symphony-Northwestern University fellow, she was principal viola of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. She was a member of the Minnesota Contemporary Ensemble for five years and taught the viola studio at Hamline University for six. When in the Twin Cities, Jennifer is a volunteer photographer for Safe Hands Animal Rescue.
