Josh Coté

Guest Musician

A native of rural Illinois, twenty-four year old Josh Coté is a freelance orchestral French horn player working in the Los Angeles area. Josh has appeared with orchestras such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Dallas Symphony, New World Symphony, Festival Mozaic, National Repertory Orchestra, Music Academy of the West, and the LA based Debut Symphony Orchestra. Josh received his Bachelor of Music degree from SMU’s Meadows School of Music where he studied with the former principal horn of the Dallas Symphony, Greg Hustis. He is currently completing his studies at the Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles where he studies with Andrew Bain, principal horn of the LA Philharmonic and guest principal of the Berliner Philharmoniker. Outside of classical music, Josh currently interns within L.A.’s music production and licensing industry and has been called upon to invent and implement the launch of a promotional YouTube series, design and cut sizzle reels for pitches to Netflix and STARZ, and revamp a website's graphic identity. Josh enjoys video editing, squash, and graphic design.
