Matt Bertrand

For thirteen seasons, Matt Bertrand was a member of the South Dakota Symphony before stepping down to focus more on performing in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Currently, Matt is a member of Music Saint Croix, a professional chamber music group based in Stillwater, MN. He has also performed as a substitute bassoonist with the Minnesota Orchestra, the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Minnesota Opera Orchestra, as well as other various ensembles around the metropolitan area. Matt also maintains a small private teaching studio out of his home in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. When not performing or making reeds, Matt enjoys hiking, climbing, snowboarding, or most any other outdoor activities.
