Mhairi Lawson

The soprano MHAIRI LAWSON has performed with the English National Opera, Les Arts Florissants, The Gabrieli Consort, The Academy of Ancient Music, Philharmonia Baroque and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and with conductors such as Christie, Mackerras, McCreesh, Glover and Gardiner. Mhairi’s recordings include Haydn’s Creation (Choir of New College, Oxford/Edward Higginbottom), and Scottish Jacobite Songs (Avison Ensemble). She has recorded many of Vivaldi’s works with La Serenissima, as well as a CD of Schubert Lieder with clarinetist Jane Booth and pianist Eugene Asti. Recent and future highlights include performances of Haydn’s Creation with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Poppea in L’incoronazione di Poppea with the Academy of Ancient Music, Galatea in Acis and Galatea and Purcell’s King Arthur with the Early Opera Company, Mozart’s Requiem with the Dunedin Consort, Handel’s Messiah with the Gabrieli Consort, Bach’s Magnificat with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and a recital as part of the East Neuk Festival.
