Michelle Campbell

Michelle Montone Campbell, a native of Northern Virginia, has been performing and teaching the clarinet for over 20 years. She is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, receiving her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Clarinet Performance. Campbell has performed with and been a member of numerous orchestras over the years, most recently performing as a regular 2nd and bass clarinetist with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. She has also performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Milwaukee Symphony and the Colorado Symphony, as well as many others. Campbell currently holds the Bass Clarinet position with the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra and was the Bass Clarinetist with the Sarasota Orchestra for 14 years. She is an avid teacher and chamber musician, and has performed in many music festivals including Cabrillo Contemporary Music Festival, Tanglewood, Aspen, and Spoleto. Michelle currently lives in Minneapolis with her husband, Steve Campbell, Principal Tuba with the Minnesota Orchestra, and their two children, Rowen and Leo.
