Born in West Sussex, England, the tenor NICK PRITCHARD sang in the choir of New College, Oxford, and studied singing at The Royal College of Music International Opera School, London. Concert appearances include King Arthur (c. Christian Curnyn, Wigmore Hall), Mass in B minor (c. Sir John-Eliot Gardiner, the Monteverdi Choir), Messiah (c. Brian Kay, Royal Albert Hall) and with the Nieuwe Philharmonie in Utrecht, Bach Cantatas for Ensemble Pygmalion and Raphaël Pichon, the Bach Magnificat (c. Laurence Cummings, The English Concert) and Vaughan-Williams' On Wenlock Edge for BBC Radio 3. Recent opera roles include Aquilio in J.C. Bach's Adriano in Siria (c. Ian Page with the Classical Opera Company), Prologue in The Turn of the Screw for Opera Holland Park, and Telemaco in The Return of Ulysses for Iford Arts. Future engagements include Matthew in Pleasure (Mark Simpson) for Opera North, and Ruggiero in Caccini’s La Liberazione di Ruggierio (Brighton Early Music Festival).
