Olivia Hamilton

Currently serving as the Margee and Will Bracken Fellow with the Minnesota Orchestra, Hamilton has had the privilege of collaborating in esteemed orchestras with world class musicians. In the summers, Hamilton performs as the Second/Eb clarinetist with the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra. Her journey has included performances with renowned ensembles such as the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, The Sphinx Symphony Orchestra, Gateways Festival Symphony Orchestra, Chicago Sinfonietta, and The Princeton Symphony Orchestra. On camera, Hamilton has performed with the Kennedy Center Honors Orchestra and the Oscar-nominated film Maestro.
Hamilton actively holds a Principal trial position with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra and was recently awarded the Outstanding Musician Prize at the Sphinx Orchestral Partners Auditions. In February of 2025, she performed as the Guest Soloist with the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra.
Hamilton’s festival experiences have been equally enriching, with fellowships at Spoleto Festival USA, Classical Tahoe, Chautauqua Institute, and The International Lyric Academy where she engaged in intensive training and high-caliber performances. Additionally, as a member of The Orchestra Now, she gained invaluable experience performing in diverse concert settings while refining her artistic voice.
Academically, Hamilton holds a Master of Music degree in Clarinet Performance from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas. Her education, combined with extensive performance history, has shaped her into a well-rounded and dynamic musician. With a passion for orchestral performance and a commitment to artistic excellence, Olivia Hamilton continually strives to make meaningful contributions to the field of classical music.
