Pedja Muzijevic

The pianist PEDJA MUZIJEVIC has defined his 36-year career with creative programming, unusual combinations of new and old music, and lasting collaborations with many artists and ensembles. Highlights of Muzijevic’s 2014-15 season have included returns to Spoleto USA, Toronto Summer Music Academy, Ottawa Chamberfest, and Moab Music Festival. In October 2014 he performed the piano duo version of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring in Atlanta with the conductor Robert Spano as his piano partner. In March 2015 Muzijevic returned to The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra as the keyboardist in the orchestral ensemble that performed the Mahler Fourth Symphony as well as John Adams’s Chamber Symphony and Son of Chamber Symphony for audiences in the Twin Cities and on tour at Hertz Hall, Berkeley, California. In April 2015 he performed Olivier Messiaen’s brilliant Oiseaux exotiques with NOVUS and Grant Gershon at Trinity Wall Street in New York. In addition to the present performances with the SPCO of Frank Martin’s Petite symphonie concertante, conducted by Christian Zacharias, Muzijevic returns this season to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.
