Peter Flamm

Peter Flamm is thrilled to return to the SPCO, having performed as Guest Principal Timpanist and Percussionist several times during the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons, including the orchestra's successful tour to New York. He is currently the Principal Timpanist of the San Antonio Symphony and serves on the faculty of Trinity University in San Antonio. Peter has performed as guest timpanist with many orchestras including the National Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra and the Houston Symphony (including concerts in England and Scotland). Peter is active as a chamber musician, working with many composers including Oswaldo Golijov and Bright Sheng. Peter will perform Phillp Glass's Concerto Fantasy with the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio in 2016. He lives in San Antonio with his wife Sylvia, two children, three dogs and a cat.
