Frequent SPCO guest conductor Scott Yoo has a gift for captivating classical music audiences with his insightful commentary and his ability to explain advanced aspects of musical style and structure through clear musical examples. He brings all of his talents to bear for this deep dive into Berg’s 20th century masterpiece. The first half of the concert will feature commentary and musical examples from the Chamber Concerto, often in subtle arrangements by Yoo himself, followed by a complete performance of the Berg, with SPCO Concertmaster Steven Copes as violin soloist.
